Will Anna + Mateo be the only photographers and videographers at our event?
While each wedding package varies, typical weddings with full coverage include second shooters for both photography and videography. Anna + Mateo work together to assist each other in the various roles, but Anna typically takes on the role of lead photographer, while Mateo is lead videographer, and the two second shooters work under each of them. For our associate packages, we will provide a primary photographer, primary videographer, and second shooters for each service unless otherwise specified.

How is your work described?
We focus on capturing natural, joyful, and romantic photographs and films. Our work is crisp, clean, and authentic, and we love capturing a couple’s joy, the beautiful details from their wedding, their celebration with their friends and families, as well as the lovely surroundings of the wedding day and local culture of the destination.

Do we book your travel for destination weddings, or do you handle that?
Our custom destination wedding packages include any costs of travel, so we’ll take care of those logistics; you have enough on your plate as it is!

Are you insured?
Yes! We are fully insured and are able to work at venues requiring liability insurance. Please give us 30 days notice if your venue requires proof of liability insurance so we can add them on to our coverage plan.

How does payment work?
We require a 40% retainer fee at the time of booking to secure your date, and the balance will be due 30 days before your event date, so there’s less for you to worry about on your wedding day! Payment plans are available for those who are interested. Please note that payment scheduling may be altered for destination events.

How can we use our wedding day coverage? Do you offer split days?
Unless otherwise indicated in the custom quote/contract, all wedding day coverage is continuous– starting with preparation photos and ending with the reception. This is industry standard and includes all travel time during the event (if the event is not held at one location). Split days require additional fees and must be outlined in the contract.

What is the difference between a wedding highlight reel and a wedding documentary?
Wedding highlight reels are artistic short films that are curated with storytelling and emotion in mind to create a beautiful summary of your wedding day– including the gorgeous details, happiness, and party! These films are shown on our website. Wedding documentaries are compilations of video footage in “documentary/home video” style that are much less edited and intended to serve as a source of memories of your wedding day. The documentaries include complete coverage of the main events of the wedding day (ceremony, first dances, toasts, etc.), and although the footage may contain some imperfections (shakiness, people walking in front of the camera, etc.) the good memories are all there! Please feel free to request samples of wedding documentaries to gain a better understanding of these films.

Can we choose our own music for our video?
We are happy to have you have as much or as little input in your video as you’d like! While we use songs that we can buy licenses to for our wedding films, you’re able to select which music you’d like featured. Please note that a delay in selecting your music for your film can lead to a delay in final delivery of your product.

What is the turn-around time for editing? 
We work hard to ensure quality in our delivered photographs and films, which takes time and precision. Turnaround times depend on the time of year. Our standard turnaround time for portrait sessions is 3-6 weeks. For weddings, the approximate turnaround time is 4-12 weeks. And for films, editing time is 4-16 weeks. We accept additional editing requests, but additional edits are not reflected in our contracted time frames, and the editing of films can be delayed depending on music selection. Due to the nature of the wedding documentaries, we only allow one round of edits on these films. If you need any particular photographs sooner, we’re happy to do a rush edit on a small number of photos as a courtesy if you let us know as soon as possible.

Do you have second shooters available? 
Yes! When booked for only photo or only video, Anna + Mateo will work as a team to capture your day. When you book both photography + videography, most packages include second shooters for both services to fully capture every element of your wedding day.
