liz + taylor // intimate wedding // salt lake city, ut

i don’t really know where to begin with this one– another wedding that has such a special place in my heart.

being destination wedding photographers, we have gotten to explore some pretty beautiful places. in august, we had the pleasure of returning to one of our favorite places and  flying out west to utah in to shoot one of my dear friend’s wedding. liz + i became fast friends in high school; we met at a church camp in san diego, and spent every sunday night on the phone for the next few years. i was a beach bum wannabe, and she was my california amiga. we reconnected after a few lost years in college (turns out, we can still talk until four a.m.!), and so of course, i was completely honored when she asked me to photograph her nuptials this summer.

elizabeth + taylor chapman are the perfect match. even their names sound perfect together; don’t they?! and their wedding day was perfect, too. they chose to have a an intimate afternoon gathering of close friends and family at the gorgeous joseph smith memorial building (formerly hotel utah) — filled with tears, laughter, and the best ice cream/cookie bowls this side of the mississppi. liz is one of the sweetest people that i know; she has this contagious smile (and impeccable taste!), and i’ve never seen her smile bigger than on august 9th, 2014.

i loved getting the chance to get to know taylor + liz as a couple (the nicest people around, i tell ya!), to spend time with them + their families, and to photograph their special day. celebrating your love was the best.

XO,

anna + mateo

citrus grove wedding inspiration // provo, ut

i really, really, really love spring. i love the feeling of starting over– the presence of new life, the onset of warmer weather and sunnier days, and the flowers. oh, how i love spring blooms!

the only thing i love just as much as spring is when i get the chance to collaborate with industry friends and dream up something beautiful. i love working with my friend natalie; when we discussed the prospect of collaborating on a spring shoot this year, the idea of focusing on orchard blossoms instantly came to mind!

we teamed up with a host of amazing salt lake wedding vendors to create a floral-infused, citrus orchard inspired, vintage influenced bridal inspiration shoot. pleeeeeease take a second to fawn over all of this beauty– the gown, the florals, the details, the cake, the models, the sweet video — all of it!

also, be sure to check out our feature {including sweet natalie’s photographs, too!} on the utah bride blog and take a look at the fabulous vendor list below to show them some amore.

jessica + travis // wedding // lindon, ut

i know it’s been a long while since i’ve posted a full wedding (or even a full session for that matter!), and i’m so sorry for that! i guess something small like getting married and going on a honeymoon and all of that just might have gotten in my way. but that’s a decent excuse, right? right? 😉

but now that i’m back in action, i wanted to share one of my favorite weddings from 2013. and it just so happened to be my last wedding of the year. i love getting to know my clients on such a personal basis, especially when they book me for the whole shebang– engagements, bridals, and the wedding day. and if these two weren’t my friends after the engagement session, they defiiinitely are my friends now! and how cool is that?! they are two of the most gracious people i’ve gotten the pleasure of working with… and they’re ridiculously good looking.

jessica + travis were wed on a freeeeezing, sunny, clear december day. after their wedding ceremony in the mt. timpanogos lds temple, they brunched at blue lemon in alpine and had a cozy open house reception at castle park in lindon.

the day was full of such joy and so many smiles– despite those freezing temperatures!

congratulations, jessica + travis! i’m so excited to see what your future holds.

and if you’re like me and can’t get enough of these two, head on over to their engagement session or their formals session (one of my all-time favorites, if i do say so myself!)
